Duotone is the alias for Cellist / Composer Barney Morse-Brown. An acclaimed musician known for his masterful use of live looping and effects. Originally trained in
baroque performance Morse-Brown’s inventive and playful approach merges the voice of the cello with electronics. Spanning classical music, new classical, folk and
electronica.
He has written and produced 6 albums and 3 ep’s. His compositions explore the ephemeral otherworldly experiences of life and death, often working with
themes of loss, longing, loneliness and the fragility of life.
Composition is a cathartic practice to Barney, he writes to work things out, what emerges is emotionally resonant work which speaks to audiences and provides
listeners with a quiet reflective container for deeper emotions.

'A master of melancholic arrangements, he has an uncanny ability of inviting listeners into his very owncontemplative and introspective realm'. Rock 'N' Load
